About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for detail. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Proficient in using hand and power tools
Knowledge of building materials, codes, and safety regulations
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
High School diploma or GED
Relevant experience with carpentry, masonry, and electrical is required
Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices
Valid driver’s license
Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing

Must be willing to travel. Travel expectation outside of the local area can vary.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of structures and materials required
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
Cut, shape, and join materials made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter's hand and power tools
Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, hand tools, and paneling
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
