About The Position

This position focuses on carpentry and restoration tasks within damaged properties. The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, drywall installation and finishing, and painting. Candidates will work on occupied residential or commercial environments, performing repairs and restoration after fire, water, wind, or structural damage. The job involves working on damaged, uneven, or debris-covered jobsites and requires the ability to travel to regional jobsites and participate in an emergency board-up/on-call rotation. Safety is paramount, with adherence to OSHA and other workplace safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
  • 2–4+ Years of Hands-On Carpentry, Painting, or Drywall Experience REQUIRED
  • Hands-On Carpentry Experience REQUIRED
  • Hands-On Drywall Experience REQUIRED
  • Finish Carpentry Experience Including Trim, Doors, Base, and Casing REQUIRED
  • Ability to Measure, Cut, and Miter Materials Accurately REQUIRED
  • Drywall Installation, Taping, Mudding, Sanding, and Finishing Experience REQUIRED
  • Ability to Safely Operate Power Tools and Table Saws REQUIRED
  • Valid Driver's License REQUIRED
  • Clean Driving Record REQUIRED
  • Working Knowledge of General Construction Means and Methods REQUIRED
  • Ability to Troubleshoot and Solve Practical Jobsite Problems REQUIRED
  • Ability to Participate in an Emergency Board-Up / On-Call Rotation REQUIRED
  • Ability to Travel to Regional Jobsites REQUIRED
  • Ability to Work Safely on Damaged, Uneven, or Debris-Covered Jobsites REQUIRED
  • Ability to Occasionally Lift and/or Move Up to 50 Pounds REQUIRED

  • IICRC Training or Certifications Preferred
  • Forklift / Telehandler Certification Preferred for Experienced Technician Levels
  • Strong candidates will have hands-on experience with finish carpentry, door hanging, trim, base and casing installation, accurate miter cuts, drywall installation and finishing, painting, and repair work performed in occupied residential or commercial environments.
  • Previous fire, water, wind, or structural-damage restoration experience is highly valuable.
  • Candidates from residential or commercial carpentry, remodeling, construction, or other closely related backgrounds may also be considered when they can demonstrate strong hands-on carpentry and drywall skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform finish carpentry including trim, doors, base, and casing installation.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and miter materials.
  • Install, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall.
  • Perform painting, texturing, spray, and roll-on painting.
  • Perform stain matching and finishing.
  • Conduct property-damage restoration or reconstruction.
  • Perform carpentry and drywall skills in residential or commercial settings.
  • Safely operate power tools and table saws.
  • Troubleshoot and solve practical jobsite problems.
  • Participate in an emergency board-up / on-call rotation.
  • Travel to regional jobsites.
  • Work safely on damaged, uneven, or debris-covered jobsites.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Follow Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
  • Follow PPE and all applicable workplace safety requirements.
  • Prevent and report unsafe acts and conditions.
