About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine and emergency maintenance, renovation, construction or replacement of Spruce Lake guest lodging, guest recreational facilities, staff housing, campground, offices and administration, grounds and infrastructures. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for solution-oriented team participation in completion of all routine and project-based tasks. Prerequisite: Must affirm Spruce Lake Ministries mission, vision, beliefs and core values. Must have a teachable spirit, team-player attitude, and servant heart. Must be responsible, industrious, hospitable, and enthusiastic. Conducts him/herself in a manner that is above reproach. Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' progressive experience in construction industry with focus on carpentry skills.
• Knowledge and skills associated with hospitality industry commercial building and ground maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic math, reading and computation skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
• Willingness to learn and practice new skills as needed.
• Flexibility to work days, weekends, rotating holidays and on call schedule.
