About The Position

Construct and repair structural woodwork and equipment in yards and on industrial and commercial properties. The role involves working with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall, and using hand and power tools to repair and erect structures. The position also includes estimating dimensions, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources, and materials needed for work activities, as well as inspecting subordinate work for compliance with contract plans and specifications and addressing deficiencies.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Must possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• Must have the required tools.
• Must pass Fit For Duty Testing.
• A U.S. driver's license may be required.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall.
• Use chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources, and materials needed to perform work activities.
• Inspect subordinate work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, identify deficiencies, and explain and take needed corrective action.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
