About The Position

The Carpenter Journeyman will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to perform a variety of tasks. This includes minor demolishing activities, wood and metal stud framing, and constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures. The role requires skilled carpentry work, operation of various hand and power tools, company equipment, vehicles, forklifts, and aerial lifts. Additionally, the position involves receiving and offloading materials safely, preparing surfaces for paint and other applications, and performing other duties as assigned. The role may require extended hours and weekend work.

Requirements

2 to 3 years experience in skilled carpentry
Favorable driver’s record/valid license
Must successfully complete background check and drug/alcohol

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Perform a variety of tasks involving use of hands tools, such as, but not limited to, minor demolishing activities, wood, and metal stud framing
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard
Perform skilled carpentry work
Operate a variety of hand and power tools and company equipment
Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and aerial lifts in conjunction with proper
Receive materials and offload in a safe and proficient
Prepare surfaces for paint and other applications
Other duties, as assigned
