About The Position
Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking a Carpenter - Form Setter for our Farmers Branch, TX location. We are looking for talented construction professionals who want to excel with us. The form setter / builder is responsible for building and setting forms according to plan specifications.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in construction
- Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
- Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Build forms and plan specifications
- Set forms on line and grade
- Understand proper safe use of power tools
- Know and understand finishing tools such as bull float (mop), straight edge, screed, and hand floats
- Concrete placement and able to finish within the plan specifications
- Able to follow instructions
- Assist with concrete placement
- Assist with concrete finishing
- Traffic control
- Install erosion control devices
- General site clean up
- Follow safety policies and procedures
- Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
- Other duties as assigned
