The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for leading a crew efficiently to meet project budget and profitability, ensuring jobs are successful and on schedule. This role involves prioritizing tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and collaborating with the Project Manager and/or Superintendent on scheduling and meetings. The Foreman must possess knowledge of field change orders, daily reports, project schedules, and ADA requirements. They are also responsible for assessing and developing the skills of field technicians and subcontractors, communicating job details, and resolving issues within the crew. Setting work standards, ensuring crew morale and productivity, mentoring employees, and maintaining compliance with company policies are key aspects of this position. The role requires the use of various tools and equipment, preparation of daily timesheets, performing safety audits, and reviewing/signing off on Pre-Task Plans (PTPs). Additionally, the Foreman will prepare material take-offs, schedule deliveries, coordinate daily work tasks, and oversee the quality and progress of work according to plans and specifications. This position may require extended hours, weekends, and holidays, with compensation in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
