About The Position

Raineri Construction is seeking an experienced and professional Carpenter Foreman to join our growing team. This job pays $43/hr., negotiable based on experience, plus benefits that include a truck allowance, company-paid health insurance, paid time off, and 401 (k). Raineri Construction is a full-service general building contractor specializing in design-build construction. Raineri provides turnkey project development services and comprehensive construction and management solutions for a variety of industries. Based in St. Louis, the company has grown each year since its inception in 2003 and currently employs more than 100 employees. Long-term, mutually beneficial employment relationships are important to the company. The Carpenter Foreman leads and develops a field crew of carpenters and laborers while ensuring all carpentry work is completed safely, efficiently, and within the project budget. This role requires hands-on carpentry expertise, strong leadership, proactive planning, and strict adherence to Raineri Construction’s safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on construction projects.
  • One year or more of experience managing and directing others preferred.
  • Intermediate or above computer skills, including basic use of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Has completed, or will complete within the first workweek, the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course
  • Must understand and demonstrate, at a high level, carpentry principles and techniques.
  • Able to manage, coach, and direct others.
  • Works well with others in a team environment.
  • Able to both provide and listen to direction.
  • Actively monitors site situations.
  • Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and highly organized.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Able to complete required reporting.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Regular, reliable, and prompt attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Procore experience is preferred but not required.
  • If needed, Raineri will provide training for OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course at no cost

Responsibilities

  • Leadership, mentorship & supervision of field crew
  • Ensure safety, enforce PPE use and compliance.
  • Maintain inventory and readiness of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Perform and oversee all self-perform rough and finish carpentry - i.e., framing, blocking, casework, backing, and temporary protection.
  • Responsible for all self-perform man-hour tracking and production control.
  • Proactive coordination and communication with Superintendents and Project Managers regarding scheduling needs, scheduling issues, and potential scope or budget gaps.
