About The Position

The Carpenter Foreman I provides direction and supervision to an assigned crew, determining when to delegate work and when to perform it directly. The role requires competence in all facets of construction, including erecting, stripping, and repairing steel, wood, or plywood structures using carpenter hand and power tools in accordance with construction documents. Depending on staffing and circumstances, the Carpenter Foreman I may serve as backup to on-site supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to an assigned crew.
• Install footing forms.
• Build and install wall and column forms.
• Build and install structural deck forms.
• Set slab-on-grade forms.
• Prepare and set tilt-up/precast forms.
• Work with building layout.
• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in training and certifications.
