About The Position

The Carpenter/Fabricator is responsible for fabricating guest-facing products and components in our production shop and onsite in a residential or commercial setting. Items include: escape room components, cabinets, furniture, and metal work - and may include additional in the future. This team member works closely with colleagues in CNC, Fabrication, Finishing, Assembly, and Tech. Additionally, this team member will coordinate closely with the Production Manager to ensure appropriate levels of supplies are maintained, inventoried, procured, and stored. Second-shift Carpenter/Fabricator positions are also available. The second shift provides an additional hourly bonus for all hours worked during the 2nd shift. As with all roles at our company, we expect our team members to be willing to bring flexibility and a positive attitude to their day-to-day work. If we need help packing a truck, we pack the truck. If the floors need sweeping, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and produce game components that meet time, functionality, and quality expectations
  • Maintain accurate entries in Production tracking software (Fulcrum,, timesheets, etc.)
  • Mentoring colleagues on technique
  • Occasional support of other functions - CNC, Finishing, Assembly, Metal, Design
  • Contributing to component R&D process, as needed
  • Contributing to the installation process for Stores and R&D, as needed
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Assemble components, examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and submitting requests for supplies
