About The Position
Fox Chase Cancer Center, part of the Temple University Health System, is seeking a Carpenter Assistant/Locksmith. This role involves assisting the Carpenter in various carpentry projects and performing locksmith duties such as installing, maintaining, and repairing locks and door hardware. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3 years experience in hospital maintenance or an equivalent building maintenance role.
- General Experience with door systems, hardware and keying systems.
- Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- General Experience of applicable fire cords, DOH Life Safety (LS), and Joint Commission (TJC) standards, or the ability to acquire this knowledge
Responsibilities
- Assists the Carpenter in constructing and executing a variety of carpentry-related projects using power and hand tools.
- Performs locksmith duties including the installation, maintenance, and repair of locks and door hardware.
- Completes work in accordance with specifications and applicable safety and regulatory standards.
- Provides time estimates for assigned work and maintains accurate records as required.
