About The Position
The Carpenter Apprentice works alongside experienced carpenters on commercial construction projects, assisting with carpentry tasks while learning safe work practices and building trade skills.
Requirements
- Interest in learning the carpentry trade combined with a willingness to join the CITC apprenticeship if not already enrolled
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew.
- Willingness to learn safe use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position and report to assigned jobsites.
Nice To Haves
- Prior construction or carpentry experience.
- Familiarity with measuring, framing, drywall, or door installation.
- Ability to read basic construction plans.
- OSHA 10 certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials.
- Support framing, drywall, door and hardware installation, and finish carpentry.
- Use hand and power tools under supervision.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow jobsite safety procedures.
- Follow direction from carpenters and supervisors.
