About The Position

Juniper Design + Build is an award-winning residential design/build company working in Portland, Maine, and its surrounding communities. We create beautiful, energy-efficient, sustainably-built custom homes and renovations. We’re hiring a Carpenter 3. This role is designed for experienced carpenters who want to grow professionally while contributing to outstanding residential projects. Requirements

• 7-10 years of hands-on experience across a range of residential construction projects
• Expertise in all core carpentry tasks
• Ability to take direction from a Lead Carpenter
• Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed
• Curiosity about high-performance building practices
• Eagerness to grow knowledge of sustainable construction
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to commute to site locations

Responsibilities

• Mentoring junior carpenters
• Collaborating on complex builds
• Framing
• Siding
• Window and door installation
• Air sealing
• Finish work
• Supporting a collaborative, respectful job-site culture
• Stepping into a leadership role when the Lead is off-site
• Clear communication with teammates and clients
• Occasionally serving as a point of contact on-site
