About The Position

Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for maintaining operational excellence in a warehouse environment? As a Warehouse Supervisor at Alliance Ground International (AGI), you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a team and ensure the smooth handling of cargo. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations
  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.

Nice To Haves

  • additional education or certifications in logistics preferred
  • supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, and dispatching of cargo.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with team members to meet deadlines and operational goals.
  • Train and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure proper documentation of cargo movements.
  • Monitor and maintain the functionality of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless cargo handling and delivery.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare operational reports and updates for management.
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment by recognizing team contributions.
  • Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions while at work.
  • Cooperate with their manager/supervisor to ensure compliance with any legal requirements imposed on the company.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager/supervisor, who will then follow the procedures outlined in company policies.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific safety or security rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand AGI’s Health, Safety, and Security policies.
  • Attend training courses as required by AGI.
