About The Position

Air General is seeking a full-time Cargo Support Agent for its Remote Support team. While the role lists a home office in Portsmouth, NH, it is a remote position open to candidates anywhere in the continental US. The agent will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols, handling documentation, performing data entry, and communicating effectively with external customers and internal stations. Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a valid airport I.D. badge.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with International Cargo documentation is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience with US Customs and Border AMS management systems.
  • 2-3 years of experience utilizing Google Drive and Microsoft Office, and working entirely paperless.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience utilizing Cargo Management systems (SmartKargo and iCargo) including import/export functions, and message monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Air General cities.
  • Comply with all FAA, Airport, TSA, CBP, USDA, and Air General safety and security procedures, and immediately report any discrepancies to a supervisor or manager.
  • Review and understand all documentation supporting a flight arrival/departure.
  • Monitor multiple email accounts and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Work with stations to provide customers with information concerning the status of their shipments.
  • Reconcile Master and House air waybills, as applicable against ACE Customs systems.
  • Handle, prepare, and manifest export flights for multiple carriers/cities.
  • Data capture Export consignments.
  • Verify booking details and request corrections where applicable.
  • Prepare transfer manifests and notify accordingly for multiple carriers/cities.
  • Transmit Customs for numerous airlines and cities.
  • Send arrival notices for international inbound shipments to multiple carriers/cities.
  • Work independently and with a team to solve problems and support multiple cities.
  • Handle any additional requests by the station and department management teams.
  • Perform some travel as required.
