About The Position

As a Cargo Supervisor, you will be the main point of contact for operational matters with direct responsibility for managing the cargo warehouse operation and freighter ramp at the appointed station(s). You will be responsible for planning and oversight on key activities, routes, and products, with a focus on defined performance requirements in relation to OTP, eAWB, Cargo iQ, SLA’s, and FAB etc. Your role will ensure the safe, secure, and on-time delivery of all high-profile shipments on flights and key routes within the appointed station(s).

Requirements

3 years cargo operations experience or equivalent capacity with High school diploma
Conversant with cargo handling processes, procedures, and regulatory compliance expectations
A good standard of verbal and written English
Good understanding of computer airfreight specifications

Nice To Haves

Industry training in Dangerous Goods, Cargo Operations, Security, Quality and Auditor trainings is an advantage

Responsibilities

Drive and improve freighter OTP in a highly challenging environment of the appointed station(s) by fulfilling all tasks associated to ramp coordination / supervision of freighter operations.
Support, deliver and plan complex cargo loads for either passenger or freighter operations.
Provide on the job training, coaching and advice to GHA staff to upgrade their skills, knowledge, and confidence level.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all cargo operations across the area are performed in a safe and secure manner in compliance with regulatory requirements for safety (under SMS guidelines), security, and company procedures.
Establish best practices to enable revenue budget achievement and to support service delivery, cost savings and compliance to safety & security requirements.
Flexible with operations shift requirement and able to work in all positions below the title position which means cross skill functionality is a prerequisite with focus on continuous development of competency level.
Execute ad-hoc tasks required at other stations to support various expectations and initiatives.
Micromanagement of Special services & Products/ VIP shipments from acceptance to customer delivery.
Raise PR, PO & GRN in SAP as per requirement and verify the supplier invoices to ensure its correct and charged as per the contract.
Escalate medium or higher-level risks to appropriate management level personnel.
