About The Position

This is a part-time position at SNA John Wayne Airport with a starting pay rate of $18.00/hour.

Requirements

Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including physical test, drug testing, and ten-year FBI and CBP background check.
Must obtain a US customs seal.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Must pass a driver's test with the Department of Airports.
Must obtain a driver's license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA).
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Must be able to comfortably lift 70 pounds.
Must be available on call and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions as work is done primarily outdoors.

Nice To Haves

Prior ramp experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform basic ground equipment services.
Unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft and trailers.
Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles.
Move cargo and baggage onto and off the aircraft and transport it between trailers, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft.
Operate motorized equipment.
Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and package and cargo routing tags.
Perform frequent bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, stacking, and kneeling in small, confined spaces.
Comfortably and continuously lift/move heavy cargo and packages onto and off aircraft, trailers, or ULDs while performing build-ups or breakdowns.
Practice Menzies Aviation Safety and Security Policy, including wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting techniques, and obeying speed limits.
Maintain the ramp area, work area, building, and equipment in a clean and presentable condition.
Comply with LAWA regulations and policies.
Comply with local attendance/tardiness policy.
Perform other duties as required.
