About The Position

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. is hiring a full-time Caretaker for the I-70 westbound rest area, approximately 8 miles east of the Zanesville city limits at mile marker 162 in Zanesville, Ohio. The position pays $17.50 per hour and includes a $250 signing bonus. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. provides training, employment, and support services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. The Caretaker cleans and sanitizes the rest area, performs general indoor cleaning, and maintains the grounds. Seasonal duties include snow removal. Training is provided for special equipment, lawn care, and snow removal.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, walk long distances, squat, and stoop.
• Ability to stand for four hours with a break.
• Communicate well with the public.
• Customer service skills.
• Snow removal and landscaping are required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms.
• Take out the trash.
• Sanitize surfaces and areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and dust.
• Mow, weed, mulch, plant, and trim trees outside.
• Pick up litter and debris in the parking lot.
• Empty grills.
• Remove snow during the winter season.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
