CARETAKER P (HA)
About The Position
This position is for a Caretaker P (HA) within the NYC Housing Authority. The role involves mixing and applying plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces, including lathing and plastering bases. Responsibilities also include performing dust control and clean-up. Caretakers are encouraged to gain knowledge for career advancement to Plasterer. This position will cover Brooklyn Neighborhood 09, which includes Albany, Gowanus, Red Hook East, Red Hook West, and Wyckoff Gardens. Travel to developments within the assigned neighborhood is a requirement, with frequency determined by the Neighborhood Administrator.

Responsibilities
- Mix plastering materials properly.
- Apply plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces (use of hawk, trowel, Darby, slicker; working of dots and screeds); apply plaster coats (scratch, brown and finish).
- Lathing and plastering bases (channel iron, wire lath, etc.).
- Perform dust control and clean up.
