About The Position

We have an opening for Day Shift Caretaker II. Assists in maintaining the tank yard to assure proper storage and handling of raw materials.

Pumps brine to tanks as needed to maintain required tank brine level. Uses ladder to install tank plugs and uses hoses to fill to desired level with brine.
Unheads and/or heads tanks as needed.
Obtains samples of brinestock as directed.
Manually lifts and moves tank heads, 4x4’s, and other supplies.
Circulates tanks of brinestock using circulating pump or air blowers.
Cleans out and washes down tanks as necessary after stock is emptied from them.
Cleans the unloading area, around and between tanks, the platforms, between the rows, and other areas to maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
Remains alert to conditions in the tank yard that would adversely affect the quality of stock.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Uses skimmer and brush to clean top of brine tanks.
Assists with tanking of brinestock and fresh cucumbers.
Operates forklift for material or equipment handling.
Performs minor carpentry repairs and reports any unsafe conditions on the platforms to appropriate personnel.
Cleans drains and ditches.
Adds salt to tanks as directed by operating forklift or by shoveling salt into bins.
Occasionally assists with other duties in Outside Production.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor.
