Under the supervision of Home Coordinators, Residential Service Coordinators, QIDPs and Residential Service Directors, the team member performs duties for the care, treatment, and safety of the individuals served with developmental/physical disabilities. This role requires reliable and prompt attendance, flexibility, and cooperation to ensure adequate facility coverage and adherence to self-scheduling guidelines. The specialist will monitor individuals served at all times, communicate information in the communication log, and verbally report to the next scheduled staff. Daily assignments include implementing Individual Service Plans, Behavior Development Programs, charting, and documentation. The role also involves initiating recreational and social activities, ensuring scheduled outings are completed, and administering medication after passing training. Maintaining a clean and safe home environment, assisting individuals with personal care, and responding to emergencies are key responsibilities. The specialist will use mechanical lifts and mobility equipment appropriately, provide safe transportation, and possess basic cooking skills or a willingness to learn, following menu plans and dietary restrictions. Maintaining positive relationships with individuals, families, guardians, and staff, monitoring health needs, documenting them, and accompanying individuals to medical appointments are also part of the role. Compliance with all Milestone, Inc. policies and procedures, including intervening in human rights issues and reporting them, is mandatory. Ordering necessary supplies is also required.
