About The Position

Companions & Homemakers is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join their team as Caregivers. This role involves providing non-medical home care to clients, following individualized Plans of Care. Responsibilities include transporting clients, assisting with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and offering companionship and emotional support. The agency has been a trusted name in Connecticut home care for over 35 years, treating caregivers like family.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed
