About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in their homes. This role involves working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and adhering to established safety procedures and care plans. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be physically able to perform duties, and possess a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with medical conditions and age-related challenges.
Requirements
- Physically able to perform the required duties
- Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Must meet all applicable personnel qualifications
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred
- Active Home Health Aide (HHA) license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Follow established safety procedures while delivering patient care
- Maintain effective communication with the supervising nurse regarding patient condition and progress
- Perform assigned patient care tasks according to the written care plan developed by the Registered Nurse
- Accurately document services provided and submit required reports on time
- Observe and promptly report any changes in the patient's condition or behavior
- Comply with all state regulations governing the role of a Home Health Aide in the home care setting
