About The Position

Join our Visiting Angels team of dedicated senior care professionals. You'll be making a positive impact in seniors' lives. This role involves providing compassionate care to an 83-year-old woman in South Hadley who has experienced recent loss and is showing signs of depression, loneliness, and withdrawal. The caregiver will help her stick to her routine and potentially engage in fun outings. The position starts part-time with the possibility of increasing hours, focusing on Saturdays and another weekday. Visiting Angels West Springfield is a leading in-home care agency serving seniors, veterans, and disabled adults in Western Massachusetts. Since 1999, the agency has grown significantly and provides over 80,000 hours of care annually, helping seniors maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. Requirements

• 2 forms of ID
• Driver's license
• Vehicle
• Over 6 years driving experience
• Clean driving record
• At least 1 year of Professional Eldercare Experience
• At least 2 Professional References
• Willing to submit to background checks
• Willing to work Saturdays
• Strong ability to speak & understand English
• Current US driver’s license
• 1 year of caregiving experience
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong ability to read, write, and speak English
• Punctuality and reliability
• Compassionate and caring heart
• Patience and willingness to learn new skills

Nice To Haves

• CNA, HHA certifications are welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Remind the client to stick to her routine.
• Engage the client in fun outings.
• Provide compassionate care to seniors.
• Write shift notes to update the family, office, and other caregivers.
• Communicate verbally with clients and families.
