About The Position

The Caregiver role involves assisting clients with various daily living activities. Key responsibilities include helping clients with prescribed medication, aiding in ambulation and mobility both inside and outside the home for appointments or walks, and providing support with personal care and hygiene. Caregivers also assist clients with physical therapy and recommended exercises, perform shopping duties or accompany clients during shopping, and handle light housekeeping tasks including meal preparation. The position requires collecting information about client conditions and treatment plans from healthcare professionals and family members, reporting any unusual incidents, and acting quickly and responsibly in emergency situations.

Requirements

Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
Physical endurance to complete required tasks
High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
