About The Position

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Direct Support Professional Caregiver role offers a part-time shift and involves rewarding work helping people grow, learn, and live well. It provides an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with individuals served, experience ownership and trust from leadership, and take initiative to help participants engage in the community and pursue their favorite activities. The role also includes supporting participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Responsibilities include assisting people with personal hygiene and supporting individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and finds meaning in this type of work.
