About The Position

The Hospice Aide provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals receiving end-of-life services in an inpatient hospice setting. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Hospice Aide assists with personal care, comfort measures, and supportive services to ensure dignity, comfort, and quality of life for patients. Keystone Care is seeking dedicated and caring Caregivers to provide in‑home support for clients in Philadelphia / Montgomery County As a Keystone Care Caregiver, you will be a trusted presence—helping clients live safely, comfortably, and joyfully in the comfort of their own homes. Your support ensures independence, dignity, and true quality of life.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a caregiver or in a healthcare-related role is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards client care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive end-of-life situations
  • Strong observation and reporting skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Physical ability to assist with lifting, turning, and transferring patients
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Proof of Influenza Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption.
  • Employees designated in a driver status, traveling from site to site, will be required to maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with: Bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Toileting and incontinence care
  • Oral care, skin care, and repositioning
  • Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility
  • Support patient comfort through non-medical interventions (e.g., positioning, linen changes, environmental adjustments)
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
  • Assist with meal setup and feeding, as appropriate
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families with compassion and respect
  • Follow infection control, safety, and hospice care protocols
  • Document care provided according to facility guidelines
