About The Position
Cogir Senior Living, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, oversees a network of senior living communities across 11 states. They are dedicated to growth, exceptional resident care, and a supportive environment for their team members. Cogir of Sonoma Plaza emphasizes human focus, creativity, and excellence. They are currently hiring for all shifts (day, evening, night) and have part-time weekend positions available. The Care Partner role is critical in the community, providing compassionate and personalized direct care to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence, privacy, and dignity. Care Partners work in a team setting to create a supportive and nurturing environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.
- At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
- Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating our residents with dignity and respect.
- Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiver training is a plus.
- Experience with memory care is preferred (for Memory Care communities).
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, as needed, while adhering to community protocols, licensing regulations, and guidelines for resident and employee safety.
- Prioritize independence and emotional support for the residents by providing compassionate care, engagement, and companionship.
- Encourage and assist with participation in life enrichment activity programs.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as making beds, tidying rooms, etc.
- Promote open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
