About The Position

Right at Home Wilmington is looking for experienced caregivers who are comfortable providing hands-on personal care. If you're an experienced caregiver who takes pride in doing the job well—and understands that great caregiving involves much more than companionship—we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience is required
• Must be comfortable providing hands-on ADL assistance
• Your own reliable vehicle
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be available at least 2 days per week
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Must be able to work independently in a client's home

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide safe mobility and transfer assistance
• Prepare meals (this means cooking, not just heating up something in the microwave)
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide medication reminders
• Provide companionship and supervision, including having meaningful, engaging conversations with your clients
• Follow a client's care plan
• Recognize and report changes in a client's condition or needs
