About The Position
Griswold Care Pairing for Central New York is seeking compassionate individuals to join their roster as Contractor Care Professionals. This role involves providing non-medical elderly care and home companionship services to seniors in the Canastota, Cazenovia, and Bridgeport areas. The primary goal is to help seniors live as fully and independently as possible in their own homes. Responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and personal hygiene, while always maintaining the client's dignity. The role also involves providing companionship, particularly to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments, and completing shift documentation.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Successfully pass criminal background check
- Clear TB test
- Past employment verification
- License/Certification Requirement (if needed)
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 2+ years of home care experience would be a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
