About The Position

Mennonite Village is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to join our Memory Care team, where empathy, patience, and heartfelt support help seniors feel safe, valued, and engaged. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have Heimlich Maneuver training within the first 120 days.
• Understanding of and commitment to residents rights and dignity.
• First aid certification and Food handler's card within first 120 days of employment.
• Criminal background check is required for new hires.
• Mennonite Village is a drug-free workplace.
• Information may be obtained through the Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division (DMV), court records, and other states' data systems.
• Fingerprints may be required as part of the check.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and companionship to residents.
• Help residents experience comfort, dignity, and moments of joy.
• Adhere to resident's service plans.
• Maintain residents' dignity by providing privacy and confidentiality.
• Effectively engage and communicate with elderly individuals.
• Exhibit patience, tact, and willingness to handle challenging situations.
• Foster positivity and actively engage in daily problem-solving.
• Accurately document activities of daily living.
• Provide compassionate bedside manner and empathy toward residents.
