About The Position
Amada Senior Care is hiring caregivers to support seniors and veterans in Onalaska, Texas, and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while preserving their dignity and quality of life. The role involves providing practical daily assistance, companionship, and support to clients and their families. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with weekend and overnight shifts offered.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and professionally.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient disposition.
- Willingness to learn and provide quality care.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Transport clients to appointments and errands.
- Monitor client safety and overall well-being.
- Encourage independence and maintain familiar daily routines.
