About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives and are expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to excellent care. The agency provides training and serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position is based in Winfield, Illinois, and is performed in person. Full-time, part-time, and live-in schedules are available.

Requirements

At least 1 year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the United States.
Must be reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outdoors, including during doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
