About The Position

Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking a dependable and compassionate caregiver to provide ongoing support for a senior couple living in a senior living community. Both clients have cognitive impairment and benefit from a caregiver who is patient, attentive, and comfortable providing reminders and assistance with their daily routines. This is a consistent 20-hour-per-week assignment with the same clients each week.

Requirements

• Patient
• Reliable
• Observant
• Comfortable supporting two clients with cognitive impairment
• Dependable attendance is essential

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in senior care
• Dementia or memory care experience
• Assisted living experience
• Personal care experience
• Experience in another direct-care setting

Responsibilities

• Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Providing reminders and encouragement for bathing and personal hygiene
• Picking up meals from the senior living community's dining area
• Laundry and light housekeeping related to client care
• Companionship and supervision
• Providing reminders and redirection as needed
• Helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
• Observing and communicating changes or concerns to the office
