About The Position

Senior Helpers of Henderson is seeking compassionate, dependable Caregivers to join their growing team. This locally owned, veteran and woman-owned company, operated by healthcare professionals with over 30 years of experience, believes that aging should not compromise independence, dignity, or quality of life. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Willingness to transport clients when needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to assist with lifting, bending, standing, and mobility support
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Criminal background checks must be completed, and candidates must be confirmed as eligible for employment before they can begin working.
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Current TB screening and fit-for-duty examination prior receiving a client assignment
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain—we can help) within the first 90 days of employment
  • Must provide minimum one professional and one personal references both with email.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Caregiver, Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or similar role
  • Experience working with seniors, dementia care, or individuals requiring assistance with activities of daily living

Responsibilities

  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Engaging clients in conversation, hobbies, games, and activities
  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Assisting with mobility, walking, and transfers
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Medication reminders
  • Errands
  • Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities
  • Supporting clients recovering from illness, hospitalization, or living with chronic conditions such as dementia
