About The Position

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care – Tracy is seeking a part-time caregiver to assist adult clients in their homes in the Modesto area. This is an immediate opening, and candidates should be available to start right away. Caregivers work one-to-one with one client at a time in the client's home, though they may work with more than one client overall. Shifts are typically 3 to 6 hours, with a listed 4-hour shift, and may be scheduled Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Online training must be completed before starting shifts; previously completed training certificates may also be provided. Caregivers support seniors and people recovering from injury or surgery, or living with disabilities. Duties may include cooking, bathing, dressing, toileting assistance, housekeeping, laundry, ambulation, and physical transfers. The company describes itself as a small, engaging, rewarding, and customer-centric business serving clients throughout Northern California. The work environment includes flexible hours, a safe work environment, on-the-job training, and casual attire. Caregivers must follow CDC COVID-19 recommendations. Vaccination is not required, though fully vaccinated applicants are preferred because some facilities and clients require it.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving experience.
Valid driver's license required; relevant to transportation services.
Must enjoy working with seniors.
Must be available for day shifts.
Must be able to pass required background and reference checks.
Must be willing to complete online training before starting shifts or provide certificates for previously completed training.
Must be comfortable working 3- to 6-hour shifts, potentially with more than one client overall, Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Caregiver certifications are a plus.
Being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist adult clients in their homes with activities of daily living.
Provide cooking, bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks.
Assist clients with ambulation and physical transfers.
Work one-to-one with one client at a time in the client's home.
Complete required online training before beginning shifts, unless providing certificates for previously completed training.
