About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate individuals to provide in-home care, helping clients live safely, comfortably, and joyfully in their homes. The team is built on compassion, respect, and genuine human connection. This role offers flexible schedules, competitive pay, supportive leadership, ongoing training, and growth opportunities. Caregivers provide practical support and meaningful companionship, assisting with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and emotional support. The role also involves transportation, supporting clients with Alzheimer's or dementia, and documenting care using the AxisCare app. Safety and infection-control policies must be followed.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Responsible, mature, and dependable
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks)
- Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks)
Nice To Haves
- CNA or prior caregiving experience is a plus
- Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Helping with mobility and safe transfers
- Meal preparation and nutritional support
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities
- Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia
- Documenting care using our easy-to-use AxisCare app
- Following all safety and infection-control policies
