Caregiver - Boulder City
About The Position
BrightStar Care is hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCA) and Caregivers in Boulder City. This role involves providing compassionate, high-quality care to clients in their homes. Available shifts are 12 hours, either 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $15–$17 per hour, paid weekly. Weekend availability is required. As a PCA/Caregiver, you may assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, transfers, hygiene, companionship, mobility support, and household tasks. The company emphasizes one-on-one client care and offers a supportive 24/7 office team.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving or PCA experience required
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Current driver’s license and auto insurance
- Reliable transportation (Boulder City commute required)
- Comfortable working around pets (cats/dogs common in client homes)
- Current physical and negative 2-step TB test
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
Responsibilities
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Assisting with showers, personal hygiene, and bed baths
- Safe transfers using gait belts or Hoyer lifts
- Monitoring and reporting changes in condition
- Toileting assistance, including briefs, urinals, and bedpans
- Dementia and memory care support
- Repositioning and mobility assistance
- Transportation support as needed
- Pet care and comfort working around household animals
