About The Position

Amada Senior Care provides compassionate, non-medical, in-home care to seniors and veterans, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. We are actively seeking supportive, dependable, and compassionate caregivers in Sugar Land, Texas, and surrounding communities who are passionate about helping others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. If you have at least two years of experience in healthcare or in-home care and enjoy providing personalized care and companionship, we would love to have you join our team!

Requirements

At least two years of experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment
Valid driver's license
Valid auto insurance
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
Willingness and ability to travel within a 25-mile radius of your home address
Willingness to work with both male and female clients
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Compassionate, supportive, dependable, and professional attitude
Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, and grooming
Remind clients to take prescribed medications
Assist with mobility around the home and during outings, including walks and medical appointments
Plan and prepare meals according to client needs
Complete grocery shopping and other errands or accompany clients as needed
Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Observe and report unusual incidents or changes in a client's condition
Respond promptly and responsibly to emergencies
Assist clients with activities essential to daily living
Encourage independence and maintain a respectful, supportive care environment
