About The Position

Senior Helpers of West Cuyahoga & Lorain Counties is actively seeking dependable, compassionate, and reliable caregivers who are passionate about helping seniors remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. If you are committed to showing up on time, treating clients with dignity and respect, and providing exceptional care, we want to hear from you. Whether you are experienced or just beginning your caregiving career, we provide the training and support needed to succeed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
Proven reliability and punctuality are essential
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
Ability to pass background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
Caregiving experience preferred but not required

Nice To Haves

Parkinson’s and Dementia care experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, if needed, including: Bathing, personal hygiene, dressing and grooming, toileting and adult diapering
Support mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
Provide companionship and emotional support
Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
Perform light housekeeping and laundry
Provide medication reminders
Monitor and report changes in client condition and accurately document care provided
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and office staff
Accompany clients to appointments or errands when needed
