Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age (State Rules and Regulations).
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with residents, staff members, families and the general public.
- Must be a responsible individual with a good work ethic.
- Must be able to lift (up to 40 lbs) and assist residents without physical limitations or physical restraints such as back problems, neck or shoulder problems etc.
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without supervision.
- Must consent to a background check.
- Must be compassionate and have a desire to care for the elderly.
- Must demonstrate the ability to care for the elderly while maintaining our resident’s dignity and privacy.
- Must be punctual and able to work scheduled hours and be somewhat flexible.
Nice To Haves
- C.N.A. preferred but not required (willing to train).
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Maintaining smooth day-to-day operations and ensuring residents receive care and assistance in Activities of Daily Living.
- Performing light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and cleansing.
- Responding promptly to all resident call signals in a courteous and timely manner.
- Following all Universal Precautions and Body Substance isolation procedures at all times.
- Documenting resident care on proper facility forms and medical documentation software.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of resident health information.
- Displaying strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Handling sensitive information confidentially.
- Multitasking and meeting deadlines.
