The job is not what you might think; it's about helping seniors stay comfortable in their own homes. Many seniors only need assistance for a short part of their day, sometimes just an hour. This means you can work short, meaningful shifts that fit into your life. The pay is strong for short visits: 1-hour visits pay a flat rate of $25, 2-hour visits pay a flat rate of $35, and 3-4 hour visits pay $15.00/hour. This is perfect for earning extra income without committing to long shifts. Many caregivers come from backgrounds like retail, food service, or stayed home to raise families, and find this work rewarding because it means something. You will be helping someone stay comfortable in their own home, which may include checking in, providing companionship, helping with a meal or light housekeeping, assisting with simple daily tasks, and ensuring they feel safe and not alone. Adelmo Family Care provides hands-on training, so no prior experience is needed. You will be trained on how to safely support seniors, what to look for during visits, and how to communicate with the team. During visits, you act as the Eyes and Ears of Adelmo, using Albert.ai to observe and report on client well-being, helping to catch small changes early.
