About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring a compassionate caregiver to provide practical support and companionship to clients in their homes. The role helps clients remain safe, independent, comfortable, and engaged in the place they love. Flexible hours are offered, and training is provided; prior caregiving experience is not required. Compensation is $16.00–$18.00 per hour. The caregiver supports clients with personal care, mobility, meals, medication reminders, household tasks, companionship, and transportation. The role may also involve supporting people living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, documenting care in the AxisCare app, and following safety and infection-control policies.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Responsible, mature, and dependable.
Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification within two weeks.
Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and a good driving record.
Must pass a background check and TB test, or obtain them within two weeks.

Nice To Haves

CNA certification or prior caregiving experience is a plus but not required.
Previous home care or long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Help clients with mobility and safe transfers.
Prepare meals and provide nutritional support.
Provide medication reminders.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
Offer companionship and emotional support.
Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.
Support clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Document care using the AxisCare app.
Follow safety and infection-control policies.
