About The Position

At AbaCares, we focus on delivering the care that’s best for our patients, offering a full range of services ranging from Personal Care; assistance with self-administered medications; homemaking; companionship; respite care; and other non-skilled services.
Requirements
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work different shifts, including weekends
- Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Supportive and compassionate
- High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver
- Take pride in providing high-quality care
- Female and English-speaking
- Has driver’s license
- Not afraid of cats
- Age: at least 27 to 50 years old
Nice To Haves
- Preferably has a car due to her location; previous aides always late by public transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for our clients by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
- Help with meal preparation
- Run errands for our client
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
