About The Position

Clarendale of Algonquin is seeking hospitality-focused Caregivers to support senior residents’ health, well-being, and daily experience. Caregivers interact with residents each day and collaborate with other departments and leadership to address questions or concerns and improve residents’ experience. The role includes assisting with personal care, meals, engagement, and emergencies; communicating positively with residents and families; documenting shift assignments; and complying with applicable regulations and policies. The pay range is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience. Multiple shifts are open: AM, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., and PM, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Passion for helping people with compassion and empathy.
Ability to collaborate as part of a care team.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience working as a caregiver preferred.
CNA certification preferred but not required.
Experience working with senior citizens preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care, including dressing, laundry, grooming, mobility, bathing, shaving, incontinence care, and foot care.
Check residents’ vital signs, height, and weight according to policy.
Assist residents at mealtime by encouraging dining, helping with food, and coordinating with kitchen staff to address resident needs.
Support resident engagement and mental health by providing planned or directed activities.
Respond promptly to call lights and emergencies so residents receive appropriate assistance.
Communicate positively with residents and their families to inspire confidence and security.
Collaborate with leadership to address questions or concerns raised by residents or their loved ones.
Complete accurate documentation for shift assignments as required.
Comply with applicable regulations and policies affecting the work.
