About The Position

Visiting Angels is looking for compassionate, dependable, and professional Caregivers to provide one-on-one support to seniors and adults with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes. As a caregiver, you can make a meaningful difference every day while helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for seniors and/or adults with disabilities, professionally or personally
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
• Must genuinely enjoy assisting others
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle
• Active automobile insurance required
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Comfortable using a smartphone to clock in/out and complete documentation

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CNA/LNA experience or certification is a plus
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Run errands and grocery shop
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Document visits and care and clock ins and outs using a smartphone
