About The Position

River Oaks Homecare, a leader in the industry for 10 years and a "Great Place to Work" & Philadelphia 100 Award Winner, is expanding and looking for dedicated Caregivers to join our brand-new residential home in Norristown, PA. We offer same-day pay, free medical and life insurance, profit sharing, and on-the-job training. This role involves providing personalized daily support, creating sensory-friendly environments, offering behavioral and emotional support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, fostering community and companionship, and health advocacy for residents in a beautiful residential setting with 12-hour daily shifts (3-4 days a week).

Requirements

Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

Previous caregiving, CNA, or HHA residential experience is a plus.
Basic cooking and housekeeping knowledge.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred (but we can help you get it!).

Responsibilities

Provide Personalized Daily Support: Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity are always a priority.
Create Sensory-Friendly Environments: Implement routines that support individuals with unique sensory processing needs, ensuring a calm and structured living space.
Behavioral & Emotional Support: Use patient, positive redirection, and communication techniques to support residents through various behavioral challenges and emotional regulation.
Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Prepare healthy meals and snacks tailored to specific dietary requirements or textures, assisting with feeding as needed.
Light Housekeeping & Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment to reduce overstimulation and ensure safety.
Community & Companionship: Foster a supportive atmosphere through engaging activities, errands, and social interaction that honors each resident’s unique personality. Driving the residents in a company-provided vehicle to community events and doctor's appointments
Health Advocacy: Provide vital medication reminders and closely monitor health or behavioral changes to ensure the highest quality of care.
