About The Position

Join United Home Care and make a meaningful difference by providing one-on-one care for older adults in the greater San Diego area. We are hiring multiple caregivers who are compassionate, dependable, and experienced in helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own home. This would be consistent shifts, and we are looking for caregivers who are looking for full-time 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience
• Hands-on experience with safe transfers and gait belt use
• Experience providing personal care and toileting assistance
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with excellent communication skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to La Mesa
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely
• HCA registration (or willingness to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• Current TB test and CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate one-on-one personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Safely assist with transfers between the bed, wheelchair, couch, toilet, and other surfaces
• Use a gait belt safely and confidently during transfers and mobility assistance
• Assist with toileting and personal hygiene while maintaining dignity and respect
• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Encourage independence while ensuring client safety
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive home environment
