McKenney Home Care is a family-owned, private-duty home care agency serving Lee and Collier County. We are seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers who take pride in their work and are committed to providing attentive, high-quality care. Many of our caregivers prefer private-duty care because it allows for stronger client relationships and a more personalized approach to caregiving. Flexible Scheduling We offer a variety of shift options to fit your availability, examples include: Morning shifts: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM Short or split shifts: 2–3 hours (AM or PM) Standard shifts: 4–6 hours Extended shifts: 7–12 hours (day or overnight) 12-hour day and overnight shifts are widely available Private duty schedules vary based on client needs, with opportunities for consistent, ongoing cases.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Second form of ID (Social Security card or passport)
Hands-on CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
TB test (PPD or lab within 6 months) or chest X-ray within 5 years (or willingness to obtain)
Level 2 AHCA background screening (or willingness to complete)
Strong communication skills, professionalism, and consistent reliability and attendance

Responsibilities

Deliver attentive, personalized care in a one-on-one setting
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients through companionship and support
Assist with daily routines including bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe mobility
Prepare meals and support proper nutrition and hydration
Provide support for clients with memory care needs, including dementia
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
Provide medication reminders (no administration required)
Monitor and report changes in client condition to the office
Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate proactively with the care team regarding client needs or schedule updates
