About The Position
Griswold Home Care for Lakeville & Shakopee is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as part-time Caregivers. This role involves providing non-medical elderly care and home companionship, assisting seniors in living as fully and independently as possible in their own homes. Responsibilities include helping with daily tasks, personal hygiene, meal preparation, laundry, and grocery shopping. The position also involves providing companionship, especially to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments, and maintaining thorough documentation and communication with the office.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 2+ years of home care experience would be a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
- Willingness to be trained.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
- Assist seniors with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding.
- Help with personal hygiene.
- Assist with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship to clients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
- Communicate routinely with the office about client condition and needs.
